California Breakfast Casserole

'California Breakfast Casserole'

12 pre-cooked (frozen) breakfast sausage patties, thawed
2-3 sliced tomatoes
2-3 sliced avocados
12 eggs
1 cup milk
1 package frozen hash browns, thawed
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
extra cheddar cheese for topping

1. Heat oven to 350. Layer the bottom of a greased 9×13 pan with sausage topped with tomatoes and avocado.

2. In a bowl, beat eggs and milk. Stir in all other ingredients. Pour hash and egg mixture over the sausage, tomatoes, and avocados.

3. Bake for 45-60 min or until well set. Top with extra cheddar right after pulling out of the oven so it melts all over the top. Top with salsa or sour cream.

  1. Love your website, but red text on blue background is hard to read. :-(

  2. I know, I'm sorry. As I explained to another woman...the background used to be white, so the red lettering stood out, but then I unexpectedly had to change my whole background a couple months ago. All my new posts are now in white lettering, and I changed many of my past posts, but mainly just the most popular. It was very time consuming to go into each individual post to change the font color, especially for posts that rarely get viewed. If you come across a post with red lettering, you can just right-click to highlight the text so you can read it better. If you want to print it (older recipes also don't have the 'print' option) you can highlight the text, and cut and copy it to notebook and print from there. Sorry :(
